Poople is an independent, fan-made word ladder game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wordle, The New York Times, or any other word-game brand. Any references to other games on this site are for descriptive comparison only.

Word list

Poople accepts a fixed list of 4-letter English words. Some valid English words may not be in our list, and some entries may include uncommon words or abbreviations. Inclusion of a word does not constitute an endorsement of its meaning. If you find a missing word or one that shouldn't be accepted, let us know via the contact page.

Solutions and "optimal" paths

The shortest paths shown in hints, give-up screens, and the answers archive are computed by a breadth-first search over our word list. There may be multiple paths of the same length, and the one displayed is just one of them. "Par" reflects the length of the shortest path in our list — not necessarily in the English language as a whole.
